Oh, the Weather Outside is Frightful...

...and we are stuck inside wearing our snuggly fleece. The last couple of days have been really cold...really cold! 12 degrees and -5 with the wind chill cold! I think it's too cold to snow! Anyway I thought I'd take a few pictures of the girls. This is the most cooperation I've gotten out of either of them in a LONG time...and I still wish I could have gotten just a little more. Oh well! Aren't they angels?

This week at I Heart Faces the theme is "Sweet Dreams." And... isn't she sweet? This is my little Rosie Cheeks one year ago. I used this picture for her birth announcement. I can't believe she's 1!

I love a sleeping baby! I makes it much easier to deal with rowdy 3 year big sisters!

Detroit's Eastern Market

My friend Britni Schroeder invited me to go with her on a photo walk at Detroit's Eastern Market, hosted by Jean Smith Photography and Boka Studios. We ate at a yummy Thai restaurant call Sala Thai Restaurant...(just in case you're ever in Detroit and looking for one?). It was nice to get out and take pictures on some thing/one other than my own family. The colors were so bright and the smells were so fantastic! They had some cute little models for us. There were so many other photographers . Every one was either trying to pose them in their own way

or trying to take their picture it was a little difficult to get in and get my own thing going. Oh well! It was a good experience! So thanks Britni! And, Thanks Boka Studios! Anyway, here are

I HEART BEACH BUMS!

So...I was totally BUMMED that I couldn't use the picture I was thinking to use. I'm sure you'll see it some time. :) I loved this little picture of my niece playing in the sand. HMMM...I'm going through the 800 other pictures I took on this trip as we speak. Isn't this the cutest pic of my little Rosie Cheeks with her Grampa?! And, I have to give a shout out to my hubs. Ok...so some of you may have seen this before (you'll get over it). This weeks photo challenge at I Y Faces is all about autumn beauty, and I just so happened to miss the most colorfulness of the trees around here for a little trip to Hawaii. I did however, manage to snap a pic of my sweet little AVJ at the Orchard this fall. I'm gonna go ahead and say that this qualifies for autumn beauty...JUST LOOK AT HER! I'm in trouble! A Childhood Favorite

The theme at IYFaces this week is Balloons. I saw a package of these punch balloons and couldn't help myself. I was instantly turned into a 6 year old! I could remember running around with my little brother and trying to hit each other with them. Oh...good memory! Anyway, I blew one up for my sweet little Rosie Cheeks and she loved it!
