Joy of Luck Day 05

Day 05: What Brings You Luck?
What in your life has brought you the most luck or blessings? It can be animate or inanimate. This can be when you hit a certain age, or when you earned a certain job title or even when you got married or became a parent. When, in your life, do you believe that your life became filled with luck, blessings and joy?

This little sweetie only needs a second to brighten my day. She's so silly and sassy.
I'm so lucky to be a mom!

Joy of Luck Days 03 and 04

Day 03: Lucky Symbols
What are some traditional lucky symbols that you can think of? How has our culture created its own perception of what brings luck (and what brings bad luck?). look around your surroundings….what lucky “token” can you find?
The butterfly symbolizes change, a new beginning, and maybe even new life. How many of us would love to have a change, a second chance, a new beginning, or maybe even a new life? The butterfly is a symbol of good luck indeed!Day 04: Favorite Things
I am certain that if you think hard, you can find seven materials things that you LOVE. What are they? Capture these with your lens…..the sky is the limit for this lesson. we are all so fortunate for what we have materially. We’re lucky to have these material objects. Let’s focus on our luck and blessings today – capture your favorite seven objects!
I recently got into Crossfit. It has truely been an addiction! With out these shoes, I'd be lost!
I've played basketball for almost 20 years! (can't believe I just said that)
Aren't these just cute? They're my favorite thing to wear with my skinny jeans
on a soggy gross day. They just make me feel happy!

As a mother of two little princesses, I spend a lot of times making "pretty things."
I'm so glad I do, because it has given me the chance to be something I refused to
be when I was younger...GIRLIE!

Joy of Luck

I've decided to join in on the fun over at Willette. She's taking us on a journey to help us document all the blessings that we are lucky to have in our lives. Feel free to join in! There's still time!

I missed the first day...so, you get two posts in one.

Day 01: GIFT

"What inanimate object/thing/concept is something that you take for granted on a daily basis? What would someone who is not as fortunate as you are say about your “luck” to have such a thing in your life? Think about your blessings today – (don’t focus on people for this one…that will come later)…focus on opportunity/experience/something you have/do EVERYDAY that is an unforeseen blessing in your life."

The Truth

This isn't an unforeseen blessing in my life, but something that has been taken for granted. I've had the TRUTH since the day I was born, and sometimes I forget just how lucky I am to have it in my life. If you're interested in finding the truth for yourself, you can find it at mormon.org .

Day 02: GREEN

"St. Patrick’s Day is all about the wearin’ o’ the green these days! Green is all over the place today as we celebrate Saint Patrick and being Irish. You can also see green when you look out your window at the new buds forcing their way up.

Green is also symbolically the color for newness, new beginnings, spring and life. Today I want you to find the green – this can be ANYTHING that is either the literal color green OR something that brings newness, new beginnings, life, or hope to an otherwise dismal situation. Look at your day not as a series of hurdles/problems, but as a blessing! We are SO lucky for all that we have. Capture this with your lens!"

Just a couple of blades in a cup o' dirt, but isn't it beautiful?! And to think...I almost threw this little preschool project in the trash!! Taking this photo brighten my day. :)
