Meet My New Furry Little Friend

My daughter has been calling her Sallybelle. Or just plain Bell. Or just plain Kitty. Isn't she beautiful?! She's smart little kitty too. She'll sit and shake hands for a treat. She's so sweet.

I Heart Faces PINK WEEK

This week I Y Faces is doing a little tribute to those who are fighting and those who fought to the end bitter end against breast cancer. The theme this week is PINK. Ok...so this is more like fuchsia, but isn't she the cutest little stinker you've ever seen? This is my little sweety about 3 months ago. What I really wanted to do was a little bandana, some Converse sneeks, and a graffiti wall. Did it ever happen? NO. Maybe some day soon.

EXCITED! I Heart Faces Week 40

You can't really see it very well, but she's got a little sucker in her mouth. I wish I could've gotten one of her right as I handed it to her (I guess that's what happens when Daddy isn't there to help). She squealed with delight. It's not every day this 11 month old gets a dum dum sucker all to herself.

I WIN!

So, I entered some of my photos in a contest at Erwins Orchard in South Lyon, MI . And...drum roll please! I won second place! Well...my AVJ and I won second place. I'm sooooo excited. We get $25, a U-pick pumpkin, 1/2 dozen of the yummiest donuts on the planet, and a 1/2 gallon of cider. Yay! Here's the winning photo:

Oh Chocolate!

Oh Chocolate! I love you! You are oh so delicious and very desirable! I need you on a good day and a bad day...BUT ESPECIALLY A BAD DAY. I'm always good enough for you sweet sweet chocolate! You don't care if my laundry is done or if there's crumbs on the floor. It doesn't matter to you if there are dishes in the sink. Your battery never dies (keeping me from my artistic outlet). You never keep me awake all night or get ear infections. You never scream bloody murder while walking the isles of Target because we couldn't look at the Halloween stuff before the pharmacy closes then sit in the shopping cart for 20 minutes in the parking lot refusing to get in the car. You don't make me carry your flailing body inside to your room. No, you sit quietly in the cupboard waiting for me to devour you. Oh Chocolate! How perfect you are! I'm never disappointed.

Well...I ventured over on to this blog called I Heart Faces. I'm so excited because they have

weekly assignments! I think it'll keep me going and help me learn a lot more (just in case I ever

get the guts to start my own business...not likely). I think I have found a way to enjoy my new

found passion even more! I didn't think that was possible!

ANYway...The assignment this week is My Favorite Things. Here we go!
